Guard courses and qualifications pertaining to Marine Safety acquired
during period of commissioned service (1988-2000) include primary focus
on vessel inspection/marine casualty investigation, also Confined Space
Entry, Non-Destructive Testing. Several sub-specialty courses include
MediaRelations(USA, Ft Meade), Incident Command System(NIMS I-300),
Criminal Intelligence Analysis, Total Quality Management facilitator.
Emergency Medical Technician, USCG Petaluma 1986, Marshall Univ. 2000,
National Registry renewal 2002, Wilderness/Extended Care EMT(2002).
Aviation schools/qualifications
associated with Coast Guard enlisted service include Parachute Rigger/Aviation
Life Support (USN1979); C-130 Loadmaster(USAF 1980); land/sea survival
courses (USCG/USN), multiple aircrew qualifications in Coast Guard fixed
wing and helicopter aircraft.
